Deutsches Technikmuseum (Science Center Spectrum)

During my free time at the Deutsches Technikmuseum I visited the Science Center Spectrum. I personally enjoyed the Science Center Spectrum because all the exhibits were hands on. Also it allowed me to apply the information I learned in my physics and engineering classes in each exhibit in this building. One exhibit that that I applied my physics knowledge to was the concave mirror experiment. When I stood far away from the concave mirror my image was inverted or upside down. As I walked towards the concave mirror my image became virtual and upright.

  1. The science center spectrum was a ton of fun. A lot of those hands-on demonstrations, including the concave mirror, were probably used as experiments to develop the modern concepts of physics, especially all of the demonstrations involving light.

  2. I was originally looking for 3 people when I entered the science center but the problem was it was so much fun that I didn't want to leave. I ended up staying longer than I anticipated and went through each floor instead. I highly reccomened it for the following students.

  3. The hands on activities were a lot of fun. I agree that it made it easier to apply information that I already knew. I was also way more engrossed in the science center because it was hands on.

  4. I loved the hands on expieremnets at the museum. That section was easily the best part of the miesuem. I learned many new things in the realm if physics that I would not have known if I didn't go to the science spectrum.
